Here’s a story from The Christian Science Monitor on former Ohio Supreme Court Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor, a Republican, working for a redistricting reform constitutional amendment that is on the Ohio ballot this fall that is opposed by the Republican Party of Ohio.
Some public high schools in California participate in a “mock” presidential election. On October 10, the Secretary of State, which supervises the program, released the results. See them here. Write-ins are not included.
The New Mexico Secretary of State has released a new registration tally. The minor party totals are not on the Secretary’s website, but their numbers are: Green 3,810; Socialism & Liberation 402; Free New Mexico 352.
The percentages are: Democratic 43.05%; Republican 31.41%; Libertarian 1.12%; Green .28%; Socialism & Liberation .03%; Free New Mexico .03%; independent and other 24.08%.
Percentages in May 2024 were: Democratic 43.24%; Republican 31.05%; Libertarian 1.13%; Green .57%; Working Families .14%; Constitution .04%; independent and other 23.84%. The Working Families and Constitution registration totals currently are not known and are inside the “independent and other” category.
