On October 12, Arkansas TV sponsored a debate between the Democratic and Libertarian nominees for U.S. Senate. The debate lasted 54 minutes and can be watched at this link. The debaters were Democrat Hallie Soffner and Libertarian Jeff Wadlin. Republican nominee Tom Cotton did not attend.
Here is a news story about the debate.
Two losers lose debate over which is the biggest loser
Tom Cotton is a great Senator who deserves to win, and is going to win.
Not enough population replacement yet for today’s demon rats to be competitive in Arkansas. Libertarians aren’t competitive anywhere, but they’re the best debate opponents that demon rats can get, kind of like comedic foils.
Tom Cotton will be a great POTUS one day
Kudos to Democrat Hallie Soffner and Libertarian Jeff Wadlin for their participation in the debate! Too bad Tom Cotton-tailed out.
The Korean Libertarian Workers Party will be well represented and will score a great victory. The running dogs of the successful oppressors will run scared, but our merciless troops will hound them down, every last one.
ARKLAND – HELL HOLE – THAT ELECTED BILL CLINTON AS ARKLAND GUV >>> MORON PREZ IN 1992+1996
LET DRUNK YELTSIN MAKE KGB PUTIN RUSSIA PREZ IN 1999 >>> PUTIN UKRAINE WAR
I’d say that idiotic even for the AZ spambot if that wasn’t literally impossible.
Electing some guy as governor multiple decades ago, because be happened to have been an unusually slick/charismatic political just let, who later went on to do various things in an entirely different job, is not how sane humans measure whether or to what extent an entire state is a “hell hole” multiple decades later.
Arkansas politics have changed a lot since then. There’s way more to quality of human life, economy, natural environment, etc, than government or politics, and way more to government and politics than solely the one office of governor, especially multiple decades, and given than Arkansas hasn’t elected a demon rat governor (or to most other offices outside of local in a small minority of areas) in quite a while.
And while it’s true that Clinton was a crappy president, like every other demon rat POTUS in more than a century and like every potus of any party before Trump since at least Reagan and possibly since Coolidge, every POTUS ever, like every chief executive of any country or state or city, town, county, etc ever has done at least some dumb and bad things.
That’s the nature of the job, especially in countries of multimillion populations whose federal workforce alone numbers in the millions and annual federal government budget in the trillions of current federal reserve note “dollar’s”.
Among those things which President Clinton did that were dumb and evil, there is no sane way to include who the president of a completely different country on the far side of the planet appointed as his successor in an unfinished term.
Clinton was not in any way in charge of that decision, nor should he have been. Any POTUS has far more than enough to do without trying to poke his nose into such decisions in completely different countries which have absolutely no reason to listen to his unqualified and uninformed opinions about such things.
Yeltsin had no control of who would win subsequent presidential elections, especially decades later. He certainly had no way of knowing what wars his country would get involved in decades later, and neither did Clinton or anyone else alive at that time.
If he had somehow magically known something like that, it’s highly unlikely that it would have had much of anything to do with his decision about filling an immediate temporary job vacancy.
There’s absolutely no way to know what would have happened in Russia, Ukraine, or anywhere else if Yeltsin had made a different decision. Putin could have still won the next presidential election, or whoever would have won it and subsequent elections could have screwed things up over there a lot worse than he did.
Like POTUS, president of the Russian federation is an impossible management job given the scale of the population and land area of Russia and all the numerous actual and potential problems that involves. The chances that things would be much worse there right now are extremely high given Russian imperial and Soviet history and so on.
If Yeltsin (and or Clinton) had somehow had magical powers to see possible future timelines, that wouldn’t and couldn’t have changed who was and who wasn’t available for the job opening.
Had Clinton been such a time traveling magician with nothing else to do in his own country given his ridiculously impossible job, that still would have put him in absolutely no position to “let” or not “let” the president of another large, sovereign, nuclear armed country pick his own successor in an unfinished term or to change who else was or wasn’t available for it, which again was not and should not have been any of his business whatsoever.
POTUS is an absurd job. We can only thank God, our lucky stars, dumb luck, etc that it’s not President of the world, which would be even more impossible to manage well than POTUS or president of the Russian federation. One thing we can guess with a very high degree of confidence is that any possible, much less actual, human (or bot, space alien, or any other being) that could ever attempt such a job, if it existed, would screw it up even far worse than any president of the USA or RF ever has or ever could.
Thankfully, no such job exists. Hopefully, it will never exist.
It’s likely that Putin’s job decades before that particular decision by Yeltsin had approximately as much to do with that decision as, say, Clinton’s opinion on the matter if one was or had been offered or Putin’s other not immediately previous jobs, such as taxi driver. That is, zero.
Everyone except children in the ussr had a government job. People who had worked for KGB were not banned from government jobs in the RF as a result of past employment choices in a completely different government system.
Different countries in different times – to take just a few of many examples, South Africa’s transition as apartheid ended, or Germany as the Nazi regime and then the communist GDR in the East ended – handled past employment with government Intel agencies in various ways, but in most cases those employees were and are not banned from any subsequent government jobs, including President, as a result of employment decisions they made in authoritarian or 2totalitarian government systems in prior decades.
And if none of that had been true, it still would have had nothing at all to do with whether Arkansas is a “hell hole” in 2026.
Arkansas in 2026 is a lot different than in 1970s-90s.
Most people in Arkansas today were not alive, did not live in Arkansas, were too young to vote, and/or were barred from voting or chose not to vote back then.
The minority of current Arkansas residents who voted for governor of that state more than 35 years ago have a significant minority among them who voted against Clinton some or all of the times they could.
Their vote was not, and absolutely should not, have been based on the then low probability event that governor/possible future governor Clinton would one day be POTUS, much less that late into his second term as such he supposedly should have not “let” the president of a country that at that point didn’t even exist yet choose a successor for an unfinished term based on long prior employment and a then distant future war that approximately zero people then alive in Arkansas could have conceivably foreseen then given that Russia and Ukraine were then both Soviet republics and few people then even correctly expected the soviet union to dissolve and its constituent republics to move to a very different system of government in the foreseeable future.
The voters of Arkansas then had actual candidates for governor to pick among. Much as Yeltsin had actual available choices for a job vacancy, not the choice between perfection and what they actually decided.
Given that most people in Arkansas today, like any other state, don’t even vote for governor right now – too young, not citizens, not registered, decided not to vote for a variety of reasons, barred from voting for various reasons – and most of the remaining minority that do either lived in another state or country or weren’t alive or were too young to vote etc way back when Clinton was running for governor, it would be far beyond mere idiocy or run of the mill mental retardation to suggest an entire state is currently a “hell hole ” because a majority or plurality of the tiny minority of all current Arkansas residents who were Arkansas voters back then picked Clinton over whoever all he ran against multiple decades ago on the basis of then extremely hypothetical and vanishingly unlikely events far far away and decades into the future in other countries that didn’t then yet exist on the other side of the planet from Arkansas, just in case their governor might one day become POTUS and somehow have some say he wouldn’t, couldn’t, and shouldn’t have in the choice of a foreign leader to fill a job vacancy and then wouldn’t use that undue foreign influence to somehow prevent president Yeltsin, regardless of sobriety level at any given moment, from choosing a successor on the ridiculously irrelevant basis of by then largely irrelevant long past employment and a then ridiculously unlikely long into the future war, as opposed to the many far worse things that could have possibly happened as a result of different decisions Yeltsin could have possibly then made.
Who the minority of people who are both allowed and care to choose as governor between different actually existing real world options in any given election has very, very little to do with “hell hole”.
Most current Arkansas residents were not Arkansas voters 50-35 years ago. Many of those who were voted against Clinton.
Many of those who voted for him back then would have voted for someone else now if they had a time machine, but many could not, since they have died, moved out of Arkansas, lost voting rights, lost interest in voting, and or lost sufficient mental faculties and memory in the multiple decades since then.
Of the tiny number who live in Arkansas now, lived there then, voted for Clinton for governor, are still alive, still Arkansas voters, and would still vote for him now if they could somehow go back in time with nonexistent technology and change their votes in those election given current knowledge, it would be bizarre to expect even one actual individual to decide anyone running against him was better after all because they now know Clinton would be president of the USA in 1999 (20 years after his first run for governor, 9 years after his last), and then wouldn’t exercise a thankfully nonexistent veto of the choice of the president of the then nonexistent and then seemingly unlikely future RF among real world candidates for a temporary job vacancy, all because of a war between two of what were then constituent republics of the soviet union another nearly 30 years into a then extremely unlikely future.
After all, they had real world then current Arkansas political issues and real world candidates to choose between for governor of Arkansas, none of whom were anywhere near perfect.
While it’s far from being POTUS or president of the Russian federation, the job of an Arkansas goversnor, then or now, is far too large scale of a management task to reasonably expect anyone who has ever lived to do well at, much less those actually available for and actively seeking the job at those particular times.
We have no idea right now how things may have turned out in Russia and Ukraine had Yeltsin made some other decision. Quite likely worse, maybe much worse, than they actually did. President Clinton certainly had no way of guessing any of that in 1999, and neither did president Yeltsin for that matter. President Clinton likely had zero influence, much less veto, over president Yeltsin’s decision, and should not have had any even if he did.
That there would even be a US president Clinton and president Yeltsin of a then nonexistent postsoviet RF in 1999, or a postsoviet Russia and Ukraine that would or could get into war with each other in the then distant future 2020s, were things few Arkansas voters could have possibly guessed in 1979-90, 47 to 36 years ago. They were not, could not, and should not have been issues in Arkansas elections of that time, which relatively few current Arkansas residents voted in.
In 1979-90 Yeltsin was an obscure Soviet bureaucrat very few Arkansas voters had ever heard of, Putin was an unknown foreign intel agent that a vanishingly tiny number if any then Arkansas voters had or could have ever heard of, neither one was a likely candidate for president of a country that didn’t yet exist and didn’t seem likely, no Arkansas governor had ever been POTUS or a leading candidate for POTUS, Russia and Ukraine were soviet republics and thus could not have been predicted to ever get into a war about 40 years later, the Soviet Union hadn’t yet collapsed, William Jefferson Blythe Clinton didn’t seem like a likely future POTUS, and none of these extremely hypothetical future events and obscure foreigners could have been connected to each other or reasonably expected by any even very marginally intelligent entity to be reasons for even one actual Arkansas voter to change his or her vote in elections that had limited real world options between highly flawed candidates for an unreasonably difficult job they were poorly equipped to decide among with real world, actually relevant to that job in that state at that time, reasons to vote for one or the other such candidate.
What level of acutely severe mental illness would it take to deem an entire US State a hell hole for the completely bizarre reason that a tiny percentage of its current residents – those , that were Arkansas voters back then and still are – didn’t vote differently than they had 47-36 years ago on the basis of knowledge they couldn’t have had then or correctly guessed at the time about things that had absolutely nothing at all to do with those particular elections, in addition to knowledge neither they back then or we today wherever we are could have about how things in parts of the world far, far away from Arkansas would be today had President Yeltsin chosen someone else he knew to have been eligible and willing to be his successor to finish his term?
Possibly even more severe than it would take to bother to type this out, think anyone at all might bother to read it, would have taken AZ insane rantings seriously, and be convinced on the basis of me explaining things which are self explanatory to actually sane people at insanely detailed length.
Not one person that fits either lengthy list of unlikely categories exists. The chances that such a person would or could exist seem incredibly unlikely.
Arkansas is far from a hell hole, and way less of a hell hole than many other US states.
To whatever extent it is or isn’t, it has very, very little to do with who the few current Arkansas residents who voted for Clinton for governor in 1979-90 picked over those who ran against him those times (including 1981, when he lost). Those decisions by those voters had zero to do with then extremely unlikely future events far away from Arkansas. And it’s highly unlikely even one person will ever read this ridiculously long rant, need to have any of this explained, and or be convinced by these entirely unnecessary facts.
If an actual human was crazy enough to believe that Arkansas is a hell hole in 2026, or any more or less of one than it actually is, because of who the voters there chose as governor 47-36 years earlier, that anyone should have changed their vote on such an insanely bizarre basis and mathematically impossible guesses about the future regarding things that had no reasonably foreseeable connection to those elections and people few if any of them had ever heard of on the other side of the world many years later as well as other hypothetical timelines no one can accurately choose between, then or now …
That nutcase would neither read all this, even if it had been much more succinct, nor be either persuadable or worth persuading.
Which reminds me that it may well be past due to consult a competent licensed professional regarding my own mental state.
Furthermore, there’s the additional, equally unnecessary detail that while Mr. Clinton is now and was then a scumbag, he was and is quite intelligent and far from a moron.
The same could not be said of the AZ SPAMBOT had it been an actual human. But no human would be both crazy and stupid enough to make the bizarre set of illogical mental leaps necessary to lead to the comment it made above and still capable of reading, writing, and typing, and given access to internet capable devices and connections outside of a high security level mental health facility.
Far from being a moron, Rhodes scholar and former law professor Bill Clinton is a rarely talented con man even among the class of talented confidence artists who have the ability, luck, and willingness to rise to high levels of state and federal politics.
That’s especially true given his relatively humble beginnings.
But even had he somehow, very counterintuitively, overcome the additional handicap of well below average intelligence to become Arkansas governor and then US president, in addition to all prior achievements in his life, there still would be all the other reasons in my prior comment why the AZ comment above is unusually idiotic and insane even for the AZ spambot, much less an.actual human, as well as the extreme likelihood no one at all will read it, and if anyone does, that they would need to be convinced by it, much less still be sane enough to be convinced of anything by any arguments made by anyone ever on any subject.
Given all that, I won’t fix typos. In the highly unlikely event anyone has questions, I might check back at some point, maybe.
