On January 7, HR 780 to restore subsidies for Obamacare passed the House. Nine Republicans voted Yes. Seven of them were from closed primary states.
Supporters of open primaries constantly assert that closed primaries advance extremist politicians. The vote on HR 780 is one more example indicating they are wrong.
