Maine Libertarian Party Notifies U.S. District Court That has Ballot Access Case About Two Winning Ballot Access Decisions of Last Week

The Maine Libertarian Party is currently waiting for a decision in its ballot access case, Baines v Bellows, 1:19cv-509. The case is in U.S. District Court. Recently the Maine Libertarian Party notified the judge about the two winning ballot accesses from last week, from Michigan and Georgia.

Reply Brief Filed in U.S. Supreme Court in Case on Ballot Access Relief in 2020 for Initiatives

On March 30, proponents of an Ohio initiative filed this reply brief in the U.S. Supreme Court in Thompson v DeWine, 20-1072. This is the case over whether lower courts should have granted some ballot access relief during 2020 to initiative petition campaigns, due to the health crisis.

The Court has this case on its conference for April 16.

The Manchester Union-Leader, the biggest newspaper in New Hampshire, has this op-ed advocating a vote for Stephen Hollenberg, the American Solidarity Party nominee. He is running in a special election to fill the vacancy in the New Hampshire House, Hillsborough 21 district. There are three candidates on the April 13 ballot; the others are a Republican and a Democrat.
