Here are the results so far in California’s U.S. House race, Sixth District. Currently the top two candidates are the incumbent, Kevin Kiley, who has been a Republican but who is now an independent; and the sole Republican in the race, Michael Stansfield. The other five primary candidates are all Democrats.
Because California is very slow to count votes, and because generally as more votes are counted, Democrats do better than they had been doing initially, there is considerable doubt that these results will remain unchanged. UPDATE: the vote count as of Saturday, June 6, now shows that Michael Stansfield is no longer in second place; Democrat Richard Pan is now in second place.
